4 month check-up

Shaun had his 4 month check up today! Man he is a big boy! He only weighed in the 25 percentile at 13 lbs and 8 oz but he was a whopping 27 inches long! It was off the chart! We have a little Peter on our hands for sure!
Some of his newest and best tricks are smiling at mom when I walk in the room, playing on the excersaucer, grabbing toys (or whatever he can get his hands on) and bringing them to his mouth (including grabbing his passy and pulling in or out of his mouth), and playing with his favorite things ~ his feet! It is so fun watching him develop... I am just sad to see it go so fast!

Quarter Year Mark!!!

Shaun is now 4 months old... How quick did that go by?!? Hard to imagine that my baby is growing up that fast, these stages going quicker every month it seems! He started rolling side to side this month, enjoying being talked to while cooing back, he lights up when someone he knows walks into the room, started sitting in the bumbo chair, is enjoying the exer~saucer as long as there is something to help prop him upright. He is also grabbing everything and putting it to his mouth, went on a camping trip, had fun with Uncle Jeremy, played with Grammy and Granddad Cole, went to some play dates with other kids, had his first cold (which he is still battling) and is enjoying being a baby. Hope you like these pics from this month!!
Oh my boy... How fearfully and wonderfully you are made!

3 Months Old!

Shaun is reaching another milestone in his life, 3 months old! He is growing so quickly and developing more and more every day! Some of his new tricks this month are smiling and cooing, especially at Mommy and Daddy and brothers Stephen and Scottie, holding his head up from his tummy, noticing toys, and loving his passie.
This was a busy month starting with a trip to Maine, meeting Grandpa Tim, Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Kristen and seeing Grandma Mari again. It was a long drive but Shaun was a trooper and did fantastic! He loved the outdoors, swinging in the hammocks, and all the hold time he was given by Aunt Krissy. Other big things that went on this month was a trip to OCC, a cool motorcycle shop in New York, play datesafter school with friends, back to school night for big-brother Stephen, and a trip to Ohio.
We had a blast with our cousins and it was fun to have the babies together as Rachel has a little girl 3 weeks older than Shaun! (More on our trip to Ohio on another blog post...) I sure can't wait to see how much Shaun grows and changes this next month!

Happy 2 Months, Shaun!

New things my baby boy is doing are smiling, cooing with eye contact, and laughing. This month has been a busy one! Shaun went to his first amusement park (Busch Gardens), water park (Water Country USA), slept over in a hotel, met new friends, had a photo shoot(look for my favs soon!), went to the farmer's market and hung out with his bros. Stephen and Scottie fall more for him every day. Scottie has really taken to being Shaun's big brother. Stephen is a great help and I am not so sure what I am going to do without him later this month as he starts school. I know Shaun will miss him! Hope you enjoy these pics of my favorite moments of the last month!

Shaun's 1 Month Old!

And resting with Daddy!

Adjusting to life with Shaun has had its rewards and trials. Getting him on schedule has been the easiest out of all the kids, except for the 3:00-5:00 am awake periods sometimes. Scottie is trying to figure out where his spot in life is, wanting to be the "big Boy Brother" yet still wanting to be the baby in other ways. Stephen is a big help with changing diapers, holding passies, and watching Scottie so Mom can nurse the baby. Shaun is growing like a weed, loves being swaddled to sleep, and enjoys sitting up looking over your shoulder the most. Can't wait to see what the next few months hold for our family!
